Sponsor-a-child education program
This program is designed to help children in primary and secondary schools. Through this program, sponsors assist specific orphans with school fees and supplies. Future plans include helping underprivileged students with good performance to afford college tuition. Sponsors will be provided with performance or grade reports at the end of each term (semester) to see how “their” child is performing, plus a list of necessities required if applicable. Also, children and sponsors are encouraged to keep in direct contact either by phone (if the child can express themselves in English) or by letter writing.

Your donation of $250 per term is enough to send a child to boarding school with all the requirements (there are 3 terms per year: February-early May, June-August and September-December). For those commuting from their homes to school, $75 per term is enough for tuition and requirements. We usually recommend a boarding school because of its relative affordability and more conducive environment for study.  If living at home, Ugandan schoolchildren are generally expected to perform time intensive agricultural labor, leaving them little time to study.
