Born, raised and educated in Uganda, East Africa, and still resident in Kampala its capital, Mayombwe David Simeon is a writer/ poet whose interests, inspirations and influence are diverse as exemplified in the eclectic styles displayed in this collection. He describes his poems as being about “truth, life and dreams and the eternal quest for beauty in all its forms”.
He is a self-taught writer driven solely by “inspiration” as he holds no formal writing training and has been writing since high school, occasionally getting an odd poem published in local anthologies and online. This collection is his first experience as a book-length volume author. He describes his interests as “various” one of which is Economics which he studied at university but dropped out to take care of his father who eventually died of AIDS in 2005. He intends to pursue his education with the funds raised through the sale of this book. This 3 part publication consists of 55 poems including The Blessing, Poem In A Thousand Parts and 33 sonnets.
